The Bears Travel to Cumberland and Bring Home a WIN! 9-2-2010

On Thursday, September 2, after the first full day of school for students, the BHS boys traveled to Cumberland to take on the Beavers. I am unsure of the last time Barron has come away from a meeting of these two schools on the soccer field as the victor, as Cumberland has become our nemesis and has seemed to win in all of our recent year's competitions.

At the end of an intense game, only one goal was scored throughout the entire 80 minutes of play! Despite an earlier injury, Austin pulled through and scored a goal in the second half to lead the Bears to a 1 to 0 victory over the Beavers!

BHS Boys Fall to New Richmond 8-31-2010

On August 31st, the BHS Bears hosted New Richmond on their home field. The weather was less than cooperative, and the game was delayed for lightening at one point in the second half, resulting in both teams leaving the field. The boys played hard in the rain, however, New Richmond proved to be too quick with their passing--proving that New Richmond's summer soccer league play has really helped their program in conference meets.
