August 28, 2009--Barron Travels to Cumberland for Double OT

On Friday, August 28, the Barron Boys Soccer team traveled to Cumberland to take on the Beavers. They played a pretty evenly-matched game, with a score of 0 to 0 when the clock ran out. After a ten minute overtime, no one had scored again, so the game went into a second overtime! (At this point, my pager went off, and I was off to the hospital to "save a life"!) The Bears and the Beavers continued to battle it out, until, with three minutes left, a hand-ball penalty was called and Cumberland scored on the penalty kick.

Final score, Barron:0, Cumberland:1.
