The Barron Bears hosted their first game of regional play on their home field against Washburn on Tuesday, October 12th. Washburn has been a thorn in Barron's side the last 3 out of 4 years on play off games. The game on Tuesday night went into overtime when the clock ran down and the score was tied 2 to 2. After not one, but two shoot outs, Washburn was once again victorious over the Bears, thus ending the Bear's 2010 season and the Seniors of the Class of 2011's soccer careers.

I must admit that for someone (me) that doesn't know a lot about soccer, it is a game I have learned to get excited about! Thanks Bears for giving me the enjoyment of watching you - and especailly to my two grandsons who have had an awesome season. Austin, you had a great season - will miss watching you next season, but you can be very proud of yourself as a soccer player!!!!
