September 1--Barron Hosts Osceola

On Tuesday, September 1, the Barron Bears Boys Soccer team finished their first day of school by hosting Osceola on our home field.

Unfortunately, the day of school plus a game proved to be too much for our boys, and they ended the game without any tally on Barron's side of the scoreboard.

August 28, 2009--Barron Travels to Cumberland for Double OT

On Friday, August 28, the Barron Boys Soccer team traveled to Cumberland to take on the Beavers. They played a pretty evenly-matched game, with a score of 0 to 0 when the clock ran out. After a ten minute overtime, no one had scored again, so the game went into a second overtime! (At this point, my pager went off, and I was off to the hospital to "save a life"!) The Bears and the Beavers continued to battle it out, until, with three minutes left, a hand-ball penalty was called and Cumberland scored on the penalty kick.

Final score, Barron:0, Cumberland:1.
