Thursday, October 15--Bears in Washburn for Second Round of Regionals

On Thursday, October 15th, the BHS Golden Bears traveled to Washburn for the second round of the Regional Playoffs. Washburn is the number one-ranked seed in our division. The Barron boys came out strong and played hard. We scored 2 goals to Washburn's one goal. Unfortunately, Washburn had another goal tallied on the scoreboard on a corner kick, and the score was tied 2-2 and went into sudden death overtime.

Despite a valliant effort, Washburn was the first team to score in overtime, earning them a spot in the sectionals, and ending Barron's run in the play offs and our 2009 season.

Congratulations to the Barron Golden Bears on an awesome 2009 season! Your fans enjoyed watching you all improve this year and seeing you grow together as a team. First Round Regional VICTORY--Tuesday, October 13--BHS travels to Marshfield

On Tuesday, October 13, the BHS Golden Bears Boys Soccer team traveled to Marshfield to take on the Columbus Catholic Dons in the first round of the Division 2 Regional Playoffs. The Barron Bears are seeded 5th in our division, and the Columbus Dons are seeded 4th.

The Bears showed up ready to play! The first half ended scoreless, and a lofty kick in the second half by David Kaus went just over the head of the goalie and beyond the goalie's reach to score the one and only goal of the game!

The Bears win the first round of the Regional Playoffs by a score of 1 - o!
