The Bears Travel to Rice Lake -- December 2, 2010

On Thursday, December 2, the BHS Boys traveled to Rice Lake for a non-conference game against the warriors.  The warriors have strong teams this year, and even though both our JV and Varsity teams played pretty even with them in the first quarter, we, the Bears, ended up on the losing end of the scoreboard of both games.

The BHS Varsity, too, exploded off the bench and managed to stay with the Warriors in the first quarter, and were even competative in the first half, but the Warriors slowly increased their lead as the game went on...

The BHS Boys host the Osceola Chiefs

In the first game of the season on Tuesday, November 30th, Osceola traveled to Barron's home court.  The Barron JV team started their season strong, with a 50 to 36 win over Osceola!

The BHS Varsity played hard, but we were out-matched in size under the basket.  We ended up losing the game by 18 points, but the guys played hard to start out their season.

The End of an Era--The Bears Fall to Washburn in the First Round of the Regionals

The Barron Bears hosted their first game of regional play on their home field against Washburn on Tuesday, October 12th. Washburn has been a thorn in Barron's side the last 3 out of 4 years on play off games. The game on Tuesday night went into overtime when the clock ran down and the score was tied 2 to 2. After not one, but two shoot outs, Washburn was once again victorious over the Bears, thus ending the Bear's 2010 season and the Seniors of the Class of 2011's soccer careers.
