On Thursday, September 3, the Barron Bears traveled to Hayward to take on the Hurricanes on their home field. Hayward, in their five games to date, had shut out all but one of the teams they played. Amery scored one goal against Hayward, but Hayward still came away the victor in that match-up.

The Bears, although on the losing end of the final score, were able to score TWO goals against the Hayward defense! The first team this season to do this, as Hayward has a very tough team, both defensively and offensively. The two goals were scored when David Kaus knocked in a beautiful assist by Tino Becker, and the second goal was scored by Levi Stephens.
